Refund policy

At Kanousei Hobby, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your order, our returns policy is designed to be fair and in line with UK consumer rights.

1. Faulty or Damaged Items

  • If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement within 30 days of purchase.

  • After 30 days, we may offer a repair or replacement before a refund is considered.

2. Change of Mind (Online Purchases Only)

  • Under UK law, if you bought from us online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your items.

  • You must notify us in writing (email is acceptable) that you wish to cancel.

  • Items must be returned in unused, resaleable condition and in their original packaging.

  • You will be responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

3. In-Store Purchases (Change of Mind)

  • For purchases made in store, we do not have a legal obligation to offer a refund or exchange if you simply change your mind.

  • However, at our discretion, we may allow an exchange or credit note within 14 days, provided the item is unopened, in perfect condition, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

4. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and collectability reasons, the following cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Unsealed model kits, paints, or tools

  • Trading cards, blind boxes, or collectible packs once opened

  • Personalised or custom-made products

5. How to Return

  • Include proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation).

6. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be made to your original payment method within 7–10 working days after we receive the returned items.

  • If you paid by credit or debit card, please allow additional time for your bank to process the refund.

7. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or Consumer Contracts Regulations.
